About Us
Mr. Chubon opened the Houston office of GSM Insurors on January 1, 2003. GSM Insurors has been in business since 1923 and is a partner company of the Insurors Group, which has offices in Houston, Dallas, Abilene, Ft. Worth, Austin, Laredo, San Antonio, Rockport, and other cities.
As agency and managing principal of the Houston office, Mr. Chubon specializes in customizing property and casualty insurance programs using the latest in innovative risk management techniques. Programs designed inherently contain risk transfer and risk avoidance in conjunction with cost containment measures.
Mr. Chubon is a licensed agent for health, life, property and casualty insurance. His credentials include the professional designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), a nationally recognized designation conferred upon him by The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. In addition, Mr. Chubon has been licensed as a Risk Manager by the Texas Department of Insurance.
Mr. Chubon graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He then earned a Master of Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and attended graduate school at the University of Southern California in pursuance of a Masters in Systems Management. Upon graduation from West Point, Mr. Chubon served five years in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Captain. He is a Lifetime Member of the West Point Association of Graduates. He also has served concurrent multi-year terms on the Board of Directors of the West Point Society of Greater Houston and the Academy Association, an organization composed of graduates of the United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy and West Point. In addition, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as, hunting, fishing and golfing.
